Free Positive Behaviour Support Training

I Support Behaviour believes in a world in which people with autism and/or learning disabilities thrive. We support this community by delivering practical training for teams working with individuals with complex behaviour needs. Positive Behaviour Support Newham is a flexible digital training programme designed to meet the competing demands of special education, health and social care providers. The course is delivered by a highly qualified team of Behaviour Analysts and Clinical Psychologists. Participants will become part of a Positive Support Network. 

Phase 1

Is designed for senior managers within
organisations who have the strategic overview and authority to enable system wide organisational change. It aims to enable Senior Managers to learn how to design and implement Positive Behaviour Support within their own settings.

Phase 2

Is designed for Team Leaders and Direct Care Staff working directly with Care Customers. Your team will gain in-depth knowledge of the Positive Behaviour Support competencies and skills. In addition they will learn the implementation and monitoring of Behaviour Support Plans and proactive interventions.

Phase 3

This set of training modules and workshops are designed for parents/carers of people with Autism and/or a Learning Disability. It will provide an overview of evidence-based interventions, including the PBS Framework, Capable Environments and behavioural/communication interventions. The course will help parents and families of an Autistic person to learn how to help them to develop functional behaviours that can make a huge difference in the quality of family life and their ability to be included in school and community activities. Phase three will also include psychoeducational support groups for interested parents.

Phase 4

Designed for Autistic individuals, with two different cohorts being offered: one for adolescents and one for adults. It is a Mindfulness-based program aimed at providing a way for individuals to self-manage their stress and anxiety. This phase will support individuals to engage in an evidence-informed mindfulness-based stress reduction program. The program is a mixture of group sessions and individual sessions with a qualified Behaviour Analyst and Clinical Psychologist. More information coming soon – watch this space!!!
